About Me: I was born in Rabun County Georgia and lived there my entire life. I went
to Rabun County High School, where I played football and was a member of
most every organization: Close Up, FCA, FFA, Spanish Club, Video Production,
etc., and I was voted Most Courteous of my graduating class. I came to
college in Fall of 2001 and was looking to become a part of Southern Tech by
joining as many organizations as I could, but little did I know my schedule
was about to become much too hectic. I met two young men, Scot Kirkpatrick
and Nick Hanratty, and they talked me into joining their fraternity Beta
Sigma Chi. After joining I learned that I could get much more out of this
than simply being involved on campus. After, being initiated as a brother
only a few weeks I was voted to be Pro Consul(Vice President), and the
following semester I began my first of three semesters as Consul(President).
I have found that our organization is one where a man can move up and gain
responsibility by simply being devoted and working hard. It's a lesson I
wish much of the rest of today's society could learn. I am very proud to be
here serving this group of young men and in turn serving my school and my
community. I would
also like to say to my parents who I'm sure will be reading this I love you
guys.
